We are delighted to share that Tatjana Perrott has been promoted to Director at One Peak over the summer.
London, United Kingdom - November 9th, 2021 – We have long viewed Tatjana as one of the rising stars at One Peak. She joined us as an analyst in 2015 and has been promoted three times in the past six years. Tatjana has been instrumental in investments including Spryker Systems, DocPlanner, HighQ, Quentic, DataGuard, Coople, Brightflag, Paysend and Concentra, and she is trusted immensely by the founders with whom she works.
Growth equity is inherently a people’s business, and it takes empathy, intellectual curiosity, talent, grit, and a get-it-done attitude to be successful. Tatjana excels in these areas and is passionate about investing in SaaS, fintech, and marketplaces. Let’s meet her!
What do you like about growth stage investing?
I truly enjoy meeting inspiring people every day and getting to know new technologies and products that are reshaping and disrupting industries. It’s exciting, challenging and rewarding to be able to partner with entrepreneurs during the formative time of their journey and to help them build the foundations of a successful growth story.
What qualities do you look for in growth stage founders?
One of the most important qualities of growth stage founders is the ability to attract talent, which frequently goes hand in hand with company culture. We meet a lot of amazing founders but ultimately, it’s often the best teams that build the most successful businesses.
What can founders expect when they pitch One Peak?
Curiosity and open-mindedness — we try to really understand what you do, why you do it, and how you differentiate. We want to get to know you, your team, and your product. Be prepared for us to ask a lot of questions, not only to better understand your company but also to challenge you and open up new perspectives.
What’s the best piece of advice you would give to growth stage founders?
Think big but stay focused. Running a fast growing scale-up often means juggling various balls at the same time. Therefore, it is important to prioritize, clearly define the winning strategy, and remain focused on the key short and long term objectives.
What is your favorite SaaS metric and why?
There are many different things to consider when evaluating a SaaS business and ultimately every company is different, so it’s important not to get too fixated on one metric only. However, if I had to choose, it would be net revenue retention. It tells you a lot about the value customers get out of the product, how sticky the product is, if the pricing strategy works and, as a result, if the company is ready to scale.
What do you do on weekends?
My weekends mainly revolve around spending time with family and friends, both in London as well as on week-end trips to Europe, which luckily is now possible again!
